After I went to Bryce Canyon on friday (27.07), I looked for a nice place to cook and spent the night on the local campsite. The next morning, in the sunrise, I hiked a big part of the Rim Trail. And as it wasn’t to warm then and there weren’t many people, I spontaneously added a small hike on the Navajo Trail going into the canyon. Very impressing and the breakfast afterwards tasted even better. I was glad, I did all this in the morning because in the afternoon a strong thunderstorm came up. The first real rain for two months for me. I didn’t really know anymore, how this feels like. Sunday I set off again- on the scenic Hwy 12.

Nachdem ich am Freitag (29.7.) bis zum Bryce Canyon gefahren war, habe ich mir ein schönes Plätzchen zum Kochen gesucht und dann auf dem dortigen Campingplatz übernachtet. Den nächsten Morgen bin ich im Sonnenaufgang einen großen Teil des Rim Trails gegangen und da es noch nicht so warm war und noch nicht ganz so viele Leute unterwegs waren, habe ich spontan noch eine kleine Wanderung auf dem Navajo Trail in den Canyon gemacht. Sehr beeindruckend und das Frühstück danach hat umso besser geschmeckt. Ich war froh, dass ich all das am Morgen gemacht hatte, da am Nachmittag ein ordentliches Gewitter aufzog.. mein erster richtiger Regen nach gut zwei Monaten. Ich wusste schon gar nicht mehr wie sich das anfühlt. Sonntag bin ich dann wieder aufgebrochen- auf dem scenic Hwy 12.
